Minggu lalu, kamek berada di rumah sik molah apa-apa,..tapi entah giney kah rasa nak makan umai indah,...lalu gago lah start kereta lalu pecut ke pasar tamu malihah,..gago nak mencari ikan pirang,..tapi sikda d jual....lalu timbul idea makei kaki ayam...kak dibeli tek, cili padi & limau kasturi pun disambar dari penjual sayur di sia....apa gik, sampei di rumah,.terus berkhayal lalu molah umai versi kaki ayam....jadi lah nya cam tok rupa....

ReplyDeleteI love this dish.. its kerabu kaki ayam actually. Where u could sample few great ones kat any Thai Restaurant here in KL. Try Chakri White Palace. I tell u.. superb. The best thai restoran after sri ayutthaya.. to add zest to the test, daun kunyit hiris halus (mcm rendang) tabor.. superb to tease your taste bud! Good Luck.
As for the authentic umai (which i learned from my Mom (hand down from her mom) will be ikan Yu or shark.. and of coz terubok.
I know.. terubok.. tulang banyak. Tp wt the right slicing teknik, menghiris u got yourself The Umai. Insya-Allah.. mun ada jodoh kita jumpa i shall teach u how. Susah nak explain sini.
